- AVOID USING FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS VENDORS IF POSSIBLE!
We can’t stress this enough… Friends and family should be there to enjoy the wedding day. We’d had Bride’s call last minute in a panic because their videographer or DJ cancelled days before the wedding. Reason? They got a paying gig and chose to make money over fulfilling their obligations to the Bride. This is easy to avoid by hiring wedding professionals. - TOASTS AND SPEECHES SHOULD NOT BE READ OFF OF A PHONE!
This may be a pet peeve, but think about this… When the Maid of Honor or Best Man stands up to read their speech and they pull out their phone to read off of it, all of your wedding photos from that moment will make it look as if they were busy texting. Remind the bridal party to read off of a paper or to have it memorized.
- VIDEOGRAPHY
This takes me to videography. We’ve found that the number 1 thing bride’s regret about their wedding is not having a videographer there. Pictures are worth a thousand words but videos are priceless.
